Features of the SRT1000

Features not found in other timers:

Reliable, robust communications protocol for error checking, data verification, and retransmission. Data is stored within the timer, and can be downloaded to a computer at any time. Even a broken wire or loose connector won't ruin your day. When the problem is fixed, the data will be transmitted to the PC. This process is totally transparent to the operator.

Wireless Communications:The SRT1000 can transmit data up to 7 miles (line of sight). The data is acquired by the timer, and stored internally, so there is no data loss in case of an interruption in the wireless connection. All data packets are error checked, so no bad data can get through. Other timing systems transmit impulses which can never be retrieved if there is any interference.

Can Network Timers: There is no practical limit to the number of timers that can be linked together. Timers will network up to 4,000 feet away. Customer may use separate networked timers for starts, laps, finish results, and backup. Customer may also record up to 8 lanes for swimming events on one timer and link to other timers recording backup.

Free PC application appends records to database or spreadsheet

Re-programmable: Free software updates allow customers to download latest improvements. Examples of upgrades which may be available in the future include software for gunderson starts and specialized software for wax testing.

No Worries Synchronization: All Timers can be synchronized from computer in the timing building. Timers can even be synchronized after the race begins! Additionally, the synch time for all timers can be adjusted, so the first racer starts exactly at 0:00:00.0, or at 9:00:00.0 (even if he didn't).

Flexible Data Entry: Data entry is not limited to bib numbers alone. An individual can enter several facts about a race or racer in each data record. For example, in a biathlon race, one could enter the following information: shooting record, penalty laps, and bib number all in one data record. Throwing or jumping data can be entered for track meets.

Other Features

Simple User Interface!

9 Channels of input allow customer to use a single timer to record finishes for 8 separate lanes or for four lanes with backup for each. 9th channel is intended for a start gun.

10 key number pad for quick data entry allows individuals to enter data (ie bib numbers) using 10 key by touch.

Rain resistant

Power source: Timer will operate for 150 hours on two AA batteries, or 300 hours on four AA batteries. Batteries may be hot swapped without losing data.

Printer Port allows connection to serial printer for paper backup

Storage: Stores over 10,000 events internally. Timers can be used on the course to acquire splits, and later downloaded for results.

Auxillary Serial Port Option:There is an option for an auxillary serial port (ie auxillary UART). This feature allows easy connection to a bar code scanner, to a transponder decoder, or to a scoreboard.
